Maserati is
bringing its V8-powered Levante lineup to the UK this autumn, with the GTS
version kicking things off at £ 104,900 and the Trofeo costing
£ 124,900. There will also be a Launch Edition for the flagship
Trofeo model, retailing for £ 159,900.
The latter is
limited to only 50 units for all of Europe, and can be ordered with one of three
unique exterior colors – Blue Emozione matte, Giallo Modenese and Rosso Magma.
Inside, the Trofeo
Launch Edition boasts natural ‘Pieno Fiore’ leather sport seats, available in
black with red, blue or yellow contrast stitching. The blue or yellow stitching
by the way is exclusive to this version of the Levante, which also comes with a
new matte carbon fiber weave trim.
Powering the
Levante Trofeo is a 3.8-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine, producing 582 HP at 6,250 rpm and 730 Nm of torque. Everything is then sent
down to the road through an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and the
automaker’s Q4 Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system. In a straight line, you’ll
be hitting 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, before maxing out at a very
impressive 300 km/h.
Aesthetically, you
get a new aluminum hood with dual vents, 21-inch alloy wheels, a carbon fiber
front splitter, front grille blades, side skirts and rear valance, plus Trofeo
badging. Maserati’s Levante Trofeo will make its dynamic UK public debut while
tackling the famous Goodwood hill-climb event at the Goodwood Festival of
Speed, early next month.
As for the Levante
GTS, it utilizes the same engine as the previously-mentioned version, albeit
with less power at 530 horses.
