Tata Motors has
silently updated the Nexon with a slew of new features. A leaked internal
document published on Team-BHP confirms that the Nexon has received these
changes based on customer feedback.
The base variant of
the Tata Nexon remains untouched. The mid variants such as XM, XMA and XT now
pack an aesthetically improved non-touchscreen infotainment display and a
longer antenna. In these variants and the XZ variant, a new glossy warm grey
dashboard mid-panel replaces the silver panel. The XZ variant has received new
cosmetic updates like fresh glossy piano black finish on the gear knob, centre
console, and the AC control panel and knobs as well.
The XT, XZ, XZ+,
and XZA+ variants are equipped with new roof rails and rear AC vents now. The
top-of-the-line XZ+ and XZA+ variants have gained an additional 12V rear power
outlet behind the rear seat. Also, the chrome details on these range-topping
trims have been updated with a glossy black piano finish.
There are no
mechanical changes. The sub-compact SUV is still available with the 1.2-litre
turbocharged petrol engine which churns out 110 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque
and the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine which delivers 110 PS and 260 Nm
of peak torque. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 6-speed
automated manual. The latest changes apply to both petrol and diesel engine
models.
The Tata Nexon is
currently priced at INR 6.58 lakh to INR 11.00 lakh, both prices ex-showroom,
Delhi.
