Geely is extending the product range of their commercial vehicle brand Yuan Cheng with the fuel cell bus F12 and the battery electric bus C11. The F12 is expected to offer a range of more than 500 kilometres.

The F12, available in 10.5m and 12m versions, will be Geely’s first fuel cell powered commercial vehicle. With a consumption of 7.5 kg hydrogen per 100 kilometres, the company expects to achieve a range of more than 500 kilometres. According to Geely, the fuel consumption values were determined during driving tests on the road.

One full tank should be sufficient for one complete day of operation. Should the hydrogen supply run out, the tanks can be refilled in ten minutes according to the press release. In addition to the hydrogen drive, the F12 should also stand out from the competition due to its modern interior and driving comfort. Among them are also some functions that are intended to help fleet operators, such as real-time remote monitoring, a warning to other vehicles in the event of poor road conditions or fault analysis from a distance.

While the F12 is also suitable for longer distances due to its range, the battery electric C11 is used in public transport and for tourist and shuttle journeys. Geely has not yet released more technical data, such as power, range and charging time.
