Participating in
the 2019 Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) automotive event at ICE BSD,
South Tangerang, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) officially launched the All New
Honda Accord. The tenth generation of the Honda Accord carries a new design,
and features a 1.5 liter VTEC Turbo engine and Honda Sensing safety technology.
Designed with a new platform , the unibody structure is lower, wider and more
sturdy.
For the exterior,
the All New Honda Accord comes with a new design and displays a lower roofline,
and a longer engine hood. There is also a chrome wing grille that is equipped
with an active shutter grill feature as well as air curtain on the front bumper
for more aerodynamic performance.
In addition to the
presence of 18-inch rims and dual chrome exhaust pipe finisher as a premium
sedan, Honda also implemented a lazer brazing process, which is the unification
of roof and body panels using laser technology. This process is claimed to be
able to provide a cleaner exterior appearance, without the need for additional
garnishes along the rain waterway on the roof of the car.
In the performance
sector, the All New Honda Accord is supported by a 1.5L VTEC Turbo Engine with
a CVT with Earth Dreams Technology that can increase performance up to 190 PS
and maximum torque of 260 Nm at 1,600 - 5,000 rpm. To add to the driving
sensation, there are sport modes and eco modes available for driving character
settings that are more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.
To improve safety
standards, the All New Honda Accord is now equipped with Honda Sensing
technology that can help drivers avoid and minimize the potential for accidents
while driving. This system includes the function of Collision Mitigation Brake
System (CMBS) integrated with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Road Departure
Mitigation System (RDM) which is integrated with Lane Departure Warning (LDW),
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control ( ACC) which is
integrated with Low Speed Follow (LSF) and Auto-High Beam.
Works with
monocular and wave-millimeter radar cameras to continuously monitor and assess
various traffic conditions in front of the vehicle. If needed, this system will
work simultaneously and cooperatively with other features such as VSA, EPS and
Brake Assist to provide audio and visual warnings, or take corrective actions
to help drivers avoid collisions.
Available in four
color choices, namely white pearl platinum, black pearl crystal, metallic
modern steel and metallic silver lunar , the All New Honda Accord is priced at
IDR 698 million (on the road) in the Jabodetabek area with an estimated 2019 first
car ownership tax.
