Isuzu is launching a new special edition of the
D-Max pickup truck in the UK, named the Workman+. The new Isuzu D-Max Workman+ will
become available in just 125 examples in total, with each truck featuring
additional equipment over a standard double cab model and a manual
transmission. Isuzu has added features like 18-inch alloy wheels, bed liner, a
reversing camera, DAB radio, a tow bar and 13-pin electrics.
The latter makes the truck compatible with trailers
equipped with LED lights and owners can choose either an over rail or under
rail load liner. The exterior of the new Isuzu D-Max Workman+ is defined by the
unpainted bumpers, the side steps and the 18-inch alloy wheels. The reversing
camera has been mounted under the rear bumper, with the image displayed on the
rear-view mirror.
The interior remains basic, with fabric upholstery
and a sea of black plastic covering almost everything else – although to be
fair, this is intended to be a workhorse and not a lifestyle vehicle of some
sort. Isuzu’s latest special-edition D-Max retains its 3.5-tonne towing
rating and comes with a very competitive 125,000-mile/5-year warranty and
5-year roadside assistance in the UK and across Europe.
Power is provided by a 1.9-liter four-cylinder
turbodiesel engine, which produces 162 hp and 360 Nm of
torque. Top speed is 180 km/h. Customers will get to choose
between five colors: Splash White, Titanium Silver Met, Obsidian Grey Mica,
Cosmic Black Mica and Sapphire Blue Mica. The new Isuzu D-Max Workman+ demands
a premium of £ 700 over the standard Utility Double Cab, with prices
starting from £ 21,495 in the UK for professional users.
