Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced the launch of a new colour option for the Access 125 SE - Metallic Matte Bordeaux paint. The new Metallic Matte Bordeaux colour joins the existing schemes of Metallic Sonic Silver, Metallic Matte Black and Pearl Mirage White. The Suzuki Access 125 SE costs the same in the new colour as in one of the existing colours - INR 61,788 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The launch of the new paint option ahead of the festive season is aimed to further boost the sales of the company’s bestselling scooter. The 125 cc scooter gets a ‘Special Edition’ logo along with Beige coloured leatherette seat, black alloy wheels and round shaped chrome mirrors when specified in this colour. The vehicle also benefits from DC socket as standard.

Mechanical specifications remain unaltered and the new colour option of the Suzuki Access 125 SE employs the 124 cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that churns out 8.7 PS of max power at 7,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. The motor uses Suzuki’s SEP technology. One-push Suzuki Easy Start System and Safety Shutter are standard.

The braking hardware includes a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the back. The safety net comprises CBS for efficient braking performance. Telescopic front forks and a single-sided spring at the back perform shock absorption duties. The scooter rides on alloy wheels that are shod in 90/100-10 rear and 90/90 -12 front tubeless tyres.

The Suzuki Access 125 SE comes with a long seat, enlarged floorboard, large under-seat storage and a convenient front pocket. The scooter features chrome highlights, AHO headlamp and a digital meter as well. The fuel tank capacity stands at 5.6 litres, and the scooter tips the weighing scale at 101 kg (kerb weight).

In other updates, Suzuki will soon announce the availability of the matte black Burgman Street in India. The new paint scheme for the premium 125 cc scooter has started to reach Suzuki outlets and we should hear the launch and price details in the coming weeks. The matte black colour option will most likely arrive at the same price point as the existing palette.
