Suzuki Motorcycle India will soon introduce a new paint option for its Access 125 SE (Special Edition) range of scooters. The new paint theme, matte red/burgundy, was spotted at a dealership recently and it will join the existing palette that includes Metallic Matte Black, Metallic Sonic Silver and Pearl Mirage White.

Apart from the addition of the new paint, the Access 125 SE continues to feature the same styling cues as the existing models. The visual details include a chrome headlight mask, a 3D chrome Access 125 badge and a contrasting shade for the footboard and the seat cover – all of which are aimed to enhance the retro styling of the scooter. The rearview mirrors were not installed on the scooter in the photograph but it would get the chrome treated units that are also seen on the rest of the Access 125 SE range.

A LED headlight is yet to debut on the Access 125 and the new paint variant uses a halogen headlamp. Mechanical specifications would include the 124 cc carburettor-equipped, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC motor with 2-valve that makes 8.7 PS at 7,000 rpm and 10.2 Nm at 5,000 engine revs. The dimensions and storage capacity, too, will be the same. The fuel tank capacity will be 5.6 litres and the kerb weight will be 101 kg.

The SE range comes with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake as standard. The mandatory safety net of CBS provides efficient braking. Suspension hardware includes telescopic front forks and a single-sided spring at the back. The alloy wheels, too, are standard and they come wrapped in 90/90 -12 front and 90/100-10 rear tubeless tyres.

The price for the new colour variant is not likely to be different from the current SE range that retails at INR 61,788 (ex-showroom Delhi).
