TVS Motor Company has launched the 100 cc Sport in Sri Lanka. The motorcycle will be available in three colour options – Black Blue, Black Red and Volcano Red. The TVS Sport will be sold via 400 touchpoints in the country. Despite competing in the commuter segment, the TVS Sport looks quite appealing with its graphics and styling. Visual features on the motorcycle include sporty graphics, 3D Chrome logo and a long seat. The single-piece pillion grab-rail adds a nice contrast to the package and makes the bike look attractive.

The 100 cc motorcycle comes equipped with Economy and Power indicators on the instrument console. The mode indicators display when the motor delivering maximum fuel economy. The instrumentation is full-analogue with the speedometer and odometer sitting on the left side, while the fuel gauge, power mode and telltale indicators occupying the space on the right.

The commuter motorcycle is claimed to deliver a fuel economy of 95 km/l (as per internal testing). With the 10-litre fuel tank, it should deliver a good range between fuel stops. The TVS Sport uses a 7.4 PS 99.7 cc air-cooled, 4-stroke, Duralife engine that comes linked to a 4-speed, constant mesh transmission. An electric starting system is standard.

Stopping power comes from 130 mm front and 110 mm rear drum brakes, while the safety net includes CBS tech, or as TVS calls it, Synchronized Braking Technology (SBT). The SBT activates the front and rear brakes simultaneously to offer optimum braking control and enhancing the safety. Shock absorption department is handled by telescopic forks at the front and five-step adjustable, twin-sided springs at the back.
