Yamaha has launched the 2019 Exciter Limited Edition
in Vietnam. This underbone carries a price tag of VND 47.99 million. That’s VND 1 million more than the entry-level Yamaha
Exciter 150 RC.
Changes in the 2019 Yamaha Exciter Limited Edition
are only cosmetic. The underbone is retailed in two colours, Dawn (blue shade)
and Dusk (grey shade). Besides that, the Limited Edition Exciter gets new
graphics. Features list remains the same. The scooter gets an Answer Back Key
which will help riders find their ride within a range of 20 metres.
Other features include an LED headlamp, engine kill
switch and a pass light integrated into the high/low beam switch. Also, the
instrumentation console is an all-digital instrumentation console with a blue
backlight. The console packs the usual bells and whistles like speedometer,
tachometer, fuel gauge and a gear position indicator. Also, the large LCD panel
is easy to read.
Braking duties in Yamaha Exciter Limited Edition are
administered by a 245 mm disc in the front and a 203 mm disc in the rear. The
Exciter tips the scales at 117 kg and has a seat height of 795 mm. Also, the
ground clearance is a respectable 155 mm. Besides that, the 17-inch wheels are shod
with 90/80 specification rubber in the front and 120/70 unit in the rear.
Powering the Yamaha Exciter Limited Edition is a 150
cc 4-valve, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, the
fuel-injected engine can produce 15.4 PS of power and 13.8 Nm of torque. Also,
the powerplant has a high compression ratio of 10.4:1 which signify a
performance-focused output.
Several Vietnamese media agencies have been
speculating an all-new Yamaha Exciter with the 155 cc VVA mill from the Yamaha
NMax. However, the speculated Yamaha Exciter 155 seems to be some time away.
Back home, Yamaha has launched the MotoGP edition variants of Yamaha YZF-R15
V3.0, FZ-25 and Cygnus Ray ZR.
