At the official unveiling of the new generation Corvette last month, GM President Mark Reuss said that it will start at under US$ 60,000, and the official pricing information released by Chevrolet today reveals just that.

The 2020 Corvette Stingray 1LT will set you back US$ 59,995, including the US$ 1,095 destination charge. It’s also packed with more gear than you’d probably expect, such as: keyless entry and push-button start, dual-zone climate control, 8-inch infotainment system, 12-inch instrument cluster display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bose premium sound system, cruise control and 8-way power seats wrapped in Mulan leather.

Choosing the 1LT variant of the American supercar will also get you launch control, drive mode selector with Tour, Sport, Track, Weather, MyMode and Z-Mode driving modes, and the piece du resistance, the 6.2-liter, small block V8. The mid-mounted engine produces 490 hp and 630 Nm of torque, matched to an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission, which sends the power to the rear wheels.

Other variants available are the 2LT and 3LT, which start at US$ 67,295 and US$ 71,945, respectively. The former adds a heated steering wheel and heated and ventilated seats, head-up display, wireless charging pad, navigation system, auto-dimming rear camera mirror, memory seats, more speakers for the Bose audio, universal home remote, SiriusXM sat-radio with 1-year subscription, side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert and others. The 3LT will get you the GT2 seats with Nappa and Mulan leather and carbon fiber trim, and custom leather for the rest of the interior.

You can also order the Z51 performance package on all trim levels, whose pricing remains unchanged at US$ 5,000. It adds a front splitter and rear spoiler, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, enhanced cooling, front brake cooling inlets, larger brake discs, performance exhaust system and suspension with manually adjustable threaded spring seats, plus the electronic limited-slip differential. With the Z51 performance package, the new Corvette Stingray accelerates to 96 km/h in less than 3 seconds, almost a second faster than its predecessor.

The performance exhaust system, which lifts the output by 5 hp and 7 Nm of torque, can also be ordered as a US$ 1,195 standalone option, whereas the front suspension lift system, with available storage for up to 1,000 locations, will be available on the 2LT and 3LT for US$ 1,495.

Customers can also personalize the new-gen Corvette by choosing one of the 12 exterior colors. For the cabin, they have 6 shades at their disposal, along with 2 stitching packages, 3 seat choices and 6 seatbelt colors.Production of the 2020 Corvette Stingray will kick off at the end of the year at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly plant, in Kentucky.
