The BMW 840i Coupe and Convertible will go on sale
in Australia by September, with a starting price of AUD 202,900 and AUD 217,900. Powered by α 3.0-liter, TwinPower
inline-six making 335 HP and 500 Nm of torque, the fixed roof model
goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and the open top in 5.3
seconds.
Standard equipment includes 20-inch wheels, M Sport
brakes and differential, metallic paintwork, soft close doors, Display Key,
10.25-inch infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster,
multifunctional front seats, Individual leather, leather-wrapped steering wheel
and others.
The 840i Coupe gets gesture control, Anthracite
headliner and Harman Kardon premium sound system with 16 speakers, whereas the
840i Convertible features Black or Silver soft top, with Anthracite Silver
Effect, Air Collar neck warmer and 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio.
Those wanting more can choose from an array of
options such as the M Sport Seats, for AUD 2,600, or the M Sport
Plus Package (AUD 3,900 on the coupe and AUD 3,400 on the convertible). The latter adds 20-inch M light alloy wheels shod in
performance tires, tire pressure monitoring, larger front brake discs, M
seatbelts and an M rear spoiler on the coupe.
