The Hyundai Creta has proven to be the undisputed
king of its segment since its launch, but with the rising competition, even the
segment leader is bound to face some heat from the newcomers, especially the
upcoming Kia Seltos. To maintain the model's dominance, Hyundai has introduced
a Creta Sports Edition in the market which brings along 20 aesthetic and
feature upgrades.
The Hyundai Creta Sports Edition is priced at INR
12.78 lakh* for the 1.6 petrol engine model and INR 14.13 lakh* for the 1.6
diesel engine model. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard. There's no 1.4L
diesel engine option or 6-speed automatic transmission option in case of this
special edition Hyundai Creta. Phantom Black single-tone and Polar White with
Phantom Black dual-tone are the paint options. The latter commands a premium of
INR 11,000.
The Hyundai Creta Sports Edition is based on the
Hyundai Creta SX. On the styling front, it is differentiated with new
silver-coloured roof rails and skid plates, smoked projector headlamps, black
and dark chrome radiator grille, black ORVMs, body-coloured rear garnish,
17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, faux dual exhaust tips and rear spoiler.
Inside, there's Creta embossing on the black fabric seat covers, TGS Gaitor
boot with contrast stitching, leather-wrapped steering with contrast stitching
and silver garnish, silver finish on the front AC vents, console upper cover,
door handles and rear AC vent surrounds, and electric sunroof.
Other highlights of the Hyundai Creta Sports Edition
include a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and
Android Auto, wireless phone charging, height-adjustable driver seat, cruise
control and automatic climate control.
The Hyundai Creta Sports Edition's safety kit
comprises dual airbags, ABS with EBD, speed alert, lane change indicator, front
fog lamps, rear defogger, parking assist, seatbelt reminder and immobilizer.
