Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has launched the XL6, its first-ever premium MPV. The Maruti XL6 will be sold
exclusively through the company’s 360 premium NEXA outlets. The new model has a
starting price of INR 9.79 lakh*.
Maruti XL6 comes with a bolder styling package than
the Ertiga, which gives it a more muscular and rugged look. Highlights of the
exterior include a new set of bumpers that feature faux skid plates, an upright
upper grille, a new set of headlamps with quad-LED fixtures, black plastic
cladding, black-painted alloy wheels and LED tail lights.
Besides, the Maruti XL6 offers an all-black interior
setup with silver accents strewn across the cabin to give the interior a
premium feel. The XL6 is available only in 2+2+2 seating, with captain seats in
2nd row and a reclining 3rd-row. Last row passengers have ease of ingress and
egress, thanks to one-touch recline and slide mechanism on the 2nd-row seats.
Taking centrestage on the dashboard is the company's SmartPlay Studio
touchscreen infotainment unit that offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Maruti XL6 is powered by a BS-VI-compliant
petrol engine that makes the new model the 7th product from the company to
conform to the updated emission standards. The 1.5-litre motor produces a
maximum power of 104.69 PS and a peak torque of 138Nm. The engine works in
tandem with the company's Progressive Smart Hybrid technology. Gearbox options
include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit.
The Maruti XL6 is available in 4 variants and in 6
colour options (Nexa Blue, Auburn Red, Premium Silver, Brave Khaki, Magma Grey
and Arctic White).
