MV Agusta makes the Turismo Veloce 800 in four
variants – Standard, Lusso, Lusso SCS and RC SCS. It offers only the Standard
variant in our market. The Smart Clutch System (SCS), which is available on the
international-spec models, is a proprietary technology that enables electronic
management of the clutch.
The complete MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 range is
powered by a 798 cc inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes with
a counter-rotating crankshaft. The motor delivers 110 hp of peak power at
10,150 rpm and 81 Nm of max torque at 7,100 rpm. MV Agusta claims that 90% of
the total torque is available from 3,800 rpm. The three-cylinder mill is linked
to a 6-speed transmission that benefits from a hydraulic-activated slipper
clutch and quickshifter (for both up- and down-shifts). The maximum speed
(claimed) of the middleweight sports tourer stands at 230 km/h.
Premium hardware on the motorcycle includes dual 320
mm floating discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear to handle
the braking department. Shock absorption tasks are performed by Sachs monoshock
at the back and Marzocchi inverted forks at the front. The safety net and rider
aids on the Turismo Veloce 800 comprise 8-level traction control, Bosch 9 PLUS
ABS, Rear Wheel Lift-up Mitigation, ride-by-wire throttle and four riding
modes.
Similar to any other MV Agusta motorcycle, the
Turismo Veloce 800 is truly a feast for the eyes. The F3 800-inspired front
fascia along with the triple exhaust design and the single-sided swingarm gives
the Turismo Veloce 800 proper exotic looks. The touring friendly design
includes a semi-fairing along with a tall windscreen at the front and upright
ergonomics.
Apart from the launch of the Turismo Veloce 800, the
MV Agusta announced the inauguration of its new Motoroyale showroom in Navi
Mumbai, Maharashtra.
