The complete MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 range is powered by a 798 cc inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes with a counter-rotating crankshaft. The motor delivers 110 hp of peak power at 10,150 rpm and 81 Nm of max torque at 7,100 rpm. MV Agusta claims that 90% of the total torque is available from 3,800 rpm. The three-cylinder mill is linked to a 6-speed transmission that benefits from a hydraulic-activated slipper clutch and quickshifter (for both up- and down-shifts). The maximum speed (claimed) of the middleweight sports tourer stands at 230 km/h.

Premium hardware on the motorcycle includes dual 320 mm floating discs at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear to handle the braking department. Shock absorption tasks are performed by Sachs monoshock at the back and Marzocchi inverted forks at the front.
