Revolt Motors ended the Indian launch event of the
RV 400 and the RV 300 just like its previous event, with a teaser of what’s
coming next. The company revealed a sketch of its next product, an electric
café racer, along with the text " TO BE CONTINUED...". It’s no secret that the Indian
electric two-wheeler company is working on a retro-style motorcycle. In June
this year, a unit of the Super Soco TC was spotted in India. The Revolt RV 300
and the RV 400, in case you missed our previous reports, is based on the Super
Soco TS.
While the Super Soco TC is a retro-style motorcycle,
it doesn't belong to the café racer category, which hints that Revolt Motors
has more than a single variant lined up for the future. The café racer, as seen
in the teaser image at the end of the presentation, will pack features like
clip-on style handlebars, a rider only saddle and a rear cowl. The seat will
feature a ribbed-style pattern to enhance the retro looks of the motorcycle.
The Super Soco TC, for reference, also features a similar seat cover.
The tail section of the upcoming café racer, too, is
similar to the Super Soco TC. The motorcycle features a tyre hugger mounted
number plate and rear blinkers. Like the Super Soco TC, the Revolt café racer
may feature retro-style brake rotor.
The electric motor and the battery pack on the unnamed
café racer will most likely be identical to the Revolt RV 400. The newly
launched (current) flagship Revolt product uses a 3 kW (Mid Drive) motor that
is fed by a 72V, 3.24 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack. The RV 400 boasts a maximum
range of 150 km and a top speed of 85 km/h – depending on the mode. The company
will add a Nitro mode in the future, which will increase the maximum speed of
the motorcycle. The upcoming café racer will most definitely be equipped with
all the drive modes of the RV 400. Other hardware specifications
will include full LED lighting, inverted front forks, adjustable rear
monoshock, disc brakes on both wheels and the safety net of CBS.
The launch details about the upcoming café racer
other variants are still unknown. The deliveries of the newly launched RV 300
and RV 400 will commence next month.
