Pagani has revealed the new Huayra Roadster BC, the
topless version of the most aggressive Huayra ever since the model’s original
debut back in 2012. As with all Paganis, the new Huayra Roadster BC will be limited to
just 40 examples, all of which have already been sold.
Pagani’s latest creation is using an evolved version
of its own carbo-tanium tub chassis, which is not only lighter but also
stronger than ever; the Huayra Roadster BC tips the scales at just 1,250 kg, which is scarily exciting if you consider the power it offers.
The twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine is a new unit
that’s designed specifically for Pagani by AMG, and will be found in future
Paganis as well. Power output is rated at 791 hp and 1050 Nm of torque, which should prove enough to make you dizzy each time you sneeze at
the throttle. As before, a seven-speed Xtrac automated manual transmission is
the only option, offering a rawer feeling to the lucky owner.
The bodywork is almost completely new, featuring an
aggressive aero agenda that produces 500 kg of downforce at 280 km/h.
The front splitter is now larger and accompanied by new canards and louvers on
the front fenders, a redesigned rear clamshell, a giant fixed wing that runs
across the width of the supercar, as well as a massive diffuser. The exhaust
system is also brand new and comes with six pipes, two of which exit from
within the diffuser.
Pagani didn’t share any performance numbers just
yet, but judging by the specs so far it’s safe to say that it will be pretty
fast on a straight line. They only mentioned that the new Huayra Roadster BC is
capable of pulling 1.9G lateral acceleration during constant running, peaking
at 2.2G, as well as braking at 2.2G.
