Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition. The
Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition is priced at INR 1,71,456*, which is marginally
higher (INR 801) than the standard motorcycle’s INR 1,70,655* tag.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition features
Suzuki Racing Blue colour with Suzuki GSX-RR race bike-inspired livery. The paint and graphics are
identical to the Gixxer SF (Facelift) MotoGP Edition. Thus, the Gixxer SF 250
MotoGP Edition gets the Suzuki Racing Blue and livery from the Suzuki GSX-RR
race motorcycle. However, unlike the 155 cc model, the lower part of the
fairing on the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition gets body-coloured finish. The
Gixxer SF (facelift) MotoGP Edition uses a black colour for
the lower part of the fairing.
The Gixxer SF logo occupies the top part of the
fairing, while Suzuki branding runs through the tank and the fairing. The
ECSTAR logo and the "250" sticker sit under the Suzuki tag. The
pillion grab rail, similar to the standard motorcycle, features a body-coloured
finish. Wheel pinstripes add a nice contrast to the visuals.
The changes are limited to the new paint and decals.
Powering the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition is the 249 cc single-cylinder,
fuel-injected, SOHC engine with Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) that produces
26.5 PS at 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. Key features
include digital instrument console, LED headlight and tail lamp, twin-pod
muffler and brushed finish alloy wheels.
Braking department is governed by the safety net of
dual-channel Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). In comparison, the 155 cc variant
(standard and MotoGP) use a single-channel ABS. Shock absorption hardware
comprises conventional front forks and a monoshock at the rear.
