Small Slovenian car manufacturer Tushek has surfaced out of the darkness and presented a new hypercar: the TS 900 H Apex.

Back in 2012, the start-up presented its Renovatio T500 at the Salon Privé event in the UK. That car had extremely sharp looks but it, and the company itself, went largely quiet after its launch and it seemed as though it had become just the latest company promising an extreme performance machine but failing to follow through.

Fast forward to August 2019 and Tushek will premiere a new model at this year’s Salon Privé event in the UK next month. The car is a hybrid and on paper, reads rather well.

Sitting at the heart of the mid-engined hypercar is a 4.2-liter V8 and up front a pair of electric motors. Peak output sits at 937 HP and 1400 Nm of torque, all of which is sent to the tarmac through a lightweight six-speed sequential racing transmission. Tushek claims the TS 900 H Apex reaches 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, hits a 379 km/h top speed and can travel for more than 49.1 km on electric power alone.

To ensure the car brakes just as rapidly as it accelerates, large Brembo discs and calipers are found at all four corners, while grip is provided by Pirelli Trofeo Series R performance tires. Tushek claims its hypercar weighs just 1,410 kg which is impressive for any high-performance hybrid with such specs.
