The fifth-gen Clio
is finally available to order in the United Kingdom, where order books have
opened and the first units will be shipped starting late October. Offered in
four trim levels called the Play, Iconic, S Edition and R.S. Line, the
supermini has an MSRP of £ 14,295.
The entry-level
model gets plenty of standard gear, including LED headlights, 16-inch wheels,
air-con, DAB radio, 2-inch multimedia screen, Bluetooth, cruise control with
speed limiter, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure
warning and traffic sign recognition.
Priced from £ 15,295, the Clio Iconic adds different 16-inch wheels, LED front fog
lamps, privacy rear windows, rear parking sensors, hands-free key card access
and 7-inch infotainment system with sat-nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It’s also available with some colorful add-ons inside and out and other
optional gear that should further contribute to its youthful stance.
The Clio S Edition’s
pricing will be announced in due course, but this variant of the French
subcompact hatchback adds an 9.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, 7-inch TFT
instrument cluster, climate control, dusk-sensing headlights and rain-sensing
wipers, light grey interior treatment, 17-inch alloy wheels and shark fin
antenna. It can also be fitted with the same colorful accents as the previous
grade and a Bose premium sound system.
Finally, the Clio
R.S. Line can be ordered from £ 17,795 and adds some styling
cues inspired by the Renault Sport models, 17-inch alloys, multi-sense driving
modes, front parking sensors and reversing camera. Optional extras include the
10-inch TFT instrument cluster, heated leather seats, wireless charging pad for
compatible devices, automatic dimming rearview mirror and 360-degree camera
system.
The engine lineup
comprises of four units, kicking off with the 75 PS SCe,
followed by the 100 PS TCe and 130 PS TCe. The
85 PS dCi diesel is also on the list, as are manual,
dual-clutch automatic and CVT gearboxes, depending on the trim level.
