Citroen has announced a series of updates for the C3
Aircross, with a focus on lower carbon dioxide emissions, enhanced comfort and
equipment. Accounting for over three quarters of sales this year, the
range-topping Flair is the trim level that has undergone most changes. New (and
exclusive) to it is the 1.2-liter PureTech engine that’s Euro 6.3 compliant.
The petrol burner develops 130 PS and is coupled to a
six-speed automatic transmission.
Furthermore, the C3 Aircross Flair will incorporate
the Urban Red interior trim as standard, along with an ergonomic folding
driver’s armrest and seatback pockets. These join the list of standard
equipment that includes Citron Connect Nav with 3-year subscription to TomTom Live,
keyless entry and go, reversing camera, Active Safety Brake, Connect Box
Emergency and Assistance System, 17-inch alloy wheels and others.
The exterior of the subcompact crossover remains
highly customizable with different color packs, including the new Pepper Red,
Cumulus Grey and Perla Nera Black that are added to the existing Natural White,
Breathing Blue, Platinum Grey, Spicy Orange and Soft Sand.
Celebrating the firm’s centenary this year is the
new C3 Aircross Origins Collector’s Edition, which is priced at £ 19,725. The entry-level Feel starts at £ 18,225 and
the Flair at £ 20,480, while tith the new PureTech 130 EAT6
powertrain, the top-of-the-line spec starts at £ 22,080. The
revised range will go on sale in Great Britain in October.
