Lexus has disclosed the official pricing details of
the 2020 RX range, whose production has kicked off and is set to arrive at
dealers soon. The mid-size luxury crossover will set you back US$ 44,150 in RX350
spec, whereas the RX350L is at least US$ 47,300 – without the delivery, processing
and handling fees. The F Sport model will start at US$ 47,950, while the F Sport
with the Performance Package will become available from US$ 50,350.
As revealed when it first broke cover back in May,
the 2020 RX sports a few visual mods compared to its predecessor that
contribute to an overall cleaner design. The color palette has been revised as
well, welcoming Moonbeam Beige Metallic and Nori Green Pearl, to go with the
new available wheels.
The 8-inch infotainment system is standard
regardless of the grade, but buyers can choose to go for the 12.3-inch
touchscreen display instead. The system provides support for Android Auto and
Apple CarPlay smartphone integration and comes with improved voice-recognition
technology. Voice actions can be used for a number of different commands, such
as finding restaurants or service reminders.
On the go, the facelifted RX will be more engaging,
as it benefits from the addition of new lightweight front and rear stabilizer
bars with reinforced bushings. These improve the steering response and reduce
body roll. Additionally, the automaker promises reduced levels of noise and
vibration thanks to the stiffer roll bars and re-tuned shock absorbers.
Powering the 450h and 450hL versions of the revised
RX will be an electrified 3.5-liter V6 unit, making 308 HP. Meanwhile, the 350
and 350L will use a non-hybrid 3.5-liter V6, developing 295 HP.
