Hyundai Motor India recently launched the
much-awaited Grand i10 Nios in the country at an attractive starting price of
INR 5 lakh*. Now the company has confirmed to IAB that it plans to expand the
Grand i10 Nios range with a CNG variant.
The Hyundai Grand i10 is available in petrol, diesel
and petrol-CNG engine variants. The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is available in only
petrol and diesel engine variants, though. However, in the coming months, the
old model will lose the diesel and petrol-CNG engine variants, while the
all-new model will gain a petrol-CNG variant.
When launched, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG will
be available with the BS-IV version of the 1.2L Kappa Dual VTVT petrol bi-fuel
engine of the Hyundai Grand i10 CNG. It is good enough to churn out 81.6 PS of
maximum power and 109 Nm of torque running on gasoline and 66.3
PS and 98 Nm)of torque running on CNG.
The Grand i10 Nios comes kitted with a slew of
features such as a digital speedometer and cluster with embedded MID, rear AC
vents, an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system which offers Apple CarPlay
and Android Auto support, Voice Recognition function and i-Blue Smartphone App
support, and first-in-segment wireless phone charging and Arkamys Premium Sound
System with four modes to choose from - Natural, Live, Lounge and Club.
The Grand i10 Nios is sold in 6 colour options
including three carried over colours - Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red
and 3 new colours - Aqua Teal, Alpha Blue and Titan Grey. There is also an
option of selecting dual-tone combination with the Polar White and Aqua Teal
colours.
