Tata Motors has launched the much talked about Dark
Edition of its flagship SUV Harrier in India. The Harrier Dark Edition is based
on the top-of-the-line Harrier XZ and has been priced at INR 16.76 lakh*.
The Tata Harrier Dark Edition carries a stealth
theme for a badass styling. On the outside, it gets an exclusive Atlas Black
exterior paint shade which makes it look more aggressive than the regular
Harrier. The dark theme on the Harrier complements its bolder looking front
fascia. It also gets R17 Blackstone alloys, special 'Dark' badging positioned
on its left side, Atlas Black door handles, grey headlamp bezels, and
Blackstone front and rear skid plates further complements its ruggedness.
The new all-back theme runs throughout the
interiors, adding a pinch of exclusivity to its already stunning cabin. On the
inside, the Black Edition gets Benecke Kaliko Blackstone Leather upholstery,
Blackstone Matrix dashboard and a new Gunmetal Grey chrome pack which replaces
the faux-wood panel found on the dashboard of the regular Harrier.
In the coming months, Tata Motors will upgrade
Harrier's 2.0-litre diesel engine to BS-VI. The BS-IV version has been rated to
deliver 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of torque. Tata Motor's flagship SUV
might also receive 18-inch alloys in future. Previously, the company had also
rolled out dual-tone paint schemes. The company has been introducing all these
updates to keep the Harrier competitive in its segment which has been heating
up with the launch of the MG Hector.
