The Maruti S-Presso's configurations have leaked
online ahead of its launch on 30 September 2019, confirming that it will be
sold in 9 configuration in total. Also, its first teaser was officially
revealed today, although the exterior has already leaked.
The official variant list of the Maruti S-Presso
includes STD (O), LXi, LXi (O), VXi, VXi (O), VXi +, VXi AGS, VXi (O) AGS, VXi+
AGS. Reports have said that it is going to be equipped with features such as
7.0-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with voice recognition,
steering-mounted audio controls, rear parcel tray, body-coloured ORVMs and door
handles and a 12V-volt accessory socket in the top-end VXi+ variants.
The Maruti S-Presso gets tiny 13-inch wheel on its
base variants and 14-inch wheels on the higher variants. In terms of
dimensions, it measures 3,665 mm in length, 1,520 mm in width and 1,549 mm
(with 13-inch wheels)/1,564 mm (with 14-inch wheels) in height. It has a
wheelbase of 2,380 mm, and its gross weight is 1,170 kg. In terms of the safety
kit, it will include ABS, driver-side airbag, rear parking sensors, seat belt
reminders and a speed alert system as standard.
The Maruti S-Presso will make use of a BS-VI K10B
1.0-litre petrol K10B engine which delivers 68 PS power and 90 Nm torque. The
engine will come paired with a 5-speed MT or an optional AMT. These figures
show that there is no power declination in comparison to the previous BS-IV
version. There could be a CNG variant in the future.
Expect the Maruti S-Presso to be priced in the range
of INR 3.5-5 lakh (ex-showroom).
