Like its arch
rivals from BMW and Audi, namely the X6 and Q8, the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is,
in range-topping AMG GLE 63 S guise, a beast of an SUV courtesy of its
5.5-liter, twin-turbo V8 that produces 585 PS and 760 Nm of torque.
We can’t think of
anyone complaining for lack of performance, but some will always want more.
G-Power is catering tho those and managed to obtain a very impressive 800 PS and 1,100 Nm of torque thanks to new
turbochargers, an aftermarket exhaust system, new software and other optimized
or new components.
Unfortunately, they
didn’t divulge how quick the tuned GLE 63 S Coupe is to 100 km/h, but
the stock item needs just 4.2 seconds. The top speed limiter has been removed,
so it will surely go beyond the 280 km/h top speed of the factory
model fitted with the optional AMG Driver’s Package.
The tuner has made
it more striking with the decorative stripes and other elements, adding their
logo on a few parts, like the tailgate, engine cover and rims. The latter are
part of the Hurricane RR line, boast a five double-spoke pattern with
monochrome finish in jet black, measure 23 inches in diameter and are shod in
315/25 tires.
Upgrading your GLE
63 S Coupe isn’t going to be cheap, as the power upgrade alone comes at € 19,130 in Germany. Increasing the V-max is a € 595 option, whereas the
stainless steel exhaust system will set you back € 4,600. G-Power is
offering an interior makeover too, with leather upgrades and a couple of
steering wheel designs to choose from.
