Renault has launched the much-awaited Triber in
India, with prices ranging from at INR 4.95-6.49 lakh*. The new MPV is sold in
four trims: RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ. The Renault Triber is based on the CMF-A+
platform which is derived from the Renault Kwid's CMF-A platform. It is a
sub-4 metre MPV like the Datsun GO+. Speaking of its dimensions, it
measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width and 1,637 mm in height. Its
wheelbase and ground clearance are 2,636 mm and 182 mm respectively.
The Renault Triber is a seven-seater featuring fully
removable third-row seats. It offers 625 litres of space in 5-seater
configuration, 320 litres space in 6-seater configuration and 84 litres space
in 7-seater configuration. Under the hood, there's an enhanced version of the
Renault Kwid's 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine. This
version comes with VVT technology and has been rated to develop 72 PS of
maximum power and 96 Nm of peak torque. 5-speed manual and a5-speed automated
manual are the transmission options. The fuel economy rating is 20 km/l.
In addition to removable third-row seats, the
Renault Triber comes with features like projector headlamps, LED
DRLs, engine start/stop button, LED instrument cluster, roof bars, 15-inch
alloy wheels, two-part eagle beak-shaped tail lamps, 8-inch touchscreen
infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ceiling-mounted
third-row air vents, passive keyless entry, pillar-mounted second-row air
vents, faux skid plates and four airbags.
