The 2020 Tata Nexon in production body has been spied
again, courtesy Autospy. This is the first time we get a look at the facelifted
model in the broad daylight. Apparently, the Tata Nexon is bound to receive a completely transformed,
more imposing front-end with the facelift. Pivotal to the new look will be the
newly designed, angular headlamps packing projector lens to stay neck-to-neck
with the competition. The upper and lower grille, along with the bumper and the
fog lamps, will likely carry an edgier look.
On the sides, the test mule is equipped with the
same 16-inch alloy wheels as the existing model, but the new model that goes on
sale will likely be offered with newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels. The
rear-end, similarly, will remain mostly the same.
Inside, the new Tata Nexon is said to feature a
bigger touchscreen infotainment system and also a new steering wheel. The new
equipment will include rain-sensing wipers and cruise control. The new steering
wheel along with cruise control has already been revealed in a spy shot.
With the mid-cycle update, the Tata Nexon's 1.2L
Revotron petrol and 1.5L Revotorq diesel engines which will now be upgraded to
the stricter, BS-VI emission standards. A pure electric variant is planned for
launch after the facelift, and it should arrive in the second half of 2020. It
wouldn't surprise us if Tata Motors displayed it in concept form at Auto Expo
2020. The facelifted Tata Nexon will likely be launched in early 2020.
