Skoda has launched the Kamiq in the United Kingdom,
with the first units set to arrive at dealers in November. The subcompact SUV, which is
closely related to the Volkswagen T-Cross and Seat Arona, is offered in four
trim levels, named the S, SE, SE L and Monte Carlo, although the latter will
become available at a later date.
Equipped with standard LED lights front and rear,
16-inch alloy wheels, 6.5-inch touchscreen display and air conditioning, the
base Kamiq will set you back £ 17,700. The SE starts at
£ 19,135 and brings body-colored bumpers, 17-inch alloy
wheels, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers,
cruise control, 8-inch infotainment and Wireless Smartlink for Apple CarPlay,
With a £ 21,180 MSRP, the Kamiq SE
L adds rear LED lights with dynamic indicators and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Customers will also benefit from black and silver microsuede upholstery inside,
glossy black and silver inserts, 9.2-inch infotainment, satellite navigation,
keyless entry & go and Blind Spot detection.
Pricing for the new Kamiq Monte Carlo will be
announced at a later date, but choosing it will get you glossy black exterior
detailing, special badging, 18-inch Vega anthracite alloy wheels, panoramic
roof and red LED ambient lighting.
The engine lineup comprises of three petrol units,
including the 95 PS and 115 PS 1.0-liter TSI,
and 150 PS 1.5-liter TSI, with the latter two being available
with a seven-speed DSG transmission. Those who still favor diesel will have to
settle for the 115 PS 1.6-liter TDI, which can be paired to a
seven-speed gearbox as well.
