Skoda India launched the Kodiaq Corporate Edition
and the Superb (DSG) Corporate Edition today. The former is priced at INR 32.99
lakh*, while the latter's prices start at INR 25.99 lakh*. Starting off with the Kodiaq
Corporate Edition, it is based on the 'Style' trim and thus features 8-inch
touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 10-speaker
Canton sound system, wireless phone charging, 12-way adjustable driver seat,
three-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof.
Under the hood, the Skoda Kodiaq Corporate Edition
packs a 2.0 TDI (4x4, AT) diesel engine which delivers 150 PS of power
and 340 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed DSG gearbox which sends
power across all the four wheels. The Kodiaq Corporate Edition will be
available in four colours: Quartz Grey, Moon White, Lava Blue, and Magic Black.
With a lower entry price, the Kodiaq is now closely positioned to its already
famous competitors like the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour. Its customer
deliveries have already commenced.
Apart from the Kodiaq Corporate Edition, Skoda has
also launched Superb (DSG) Corporate Edition which comes with the 1.8 TSI (AT)
and 2.0 TDI (AT) engine options. The former churns out 180 PS and 250
Nm, while the latter delivers 177 PS and 350 Nm of torque. It is
offered with 8 airbags and also comes with Multi-Collision Brake system. The
car is available in two paint choices: Candy White and Magnetic Brown.
The Skoda Superb Corporate Edition is equipped with
the AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting System) which offers enhanced illumination of
the road ahead. These headlamps automatically respond to the speed changes as
well as varying light and weather conditions. AFS also features swivelling and
cornering functions.
Skoda India's upcoming launches will likely be an
updated, BS-VI compliant Rapid, and then the Karoq.
