Chinese car marque Wey and German auto customization
shop Brabus have officially introduced the VV7 GT Pro at the recently started
Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) 2019.
It was in spring earlier this year that the media
first learned about Great Wall’s desire to enlist the help of Brabus in the
automotive design aspect. Great Wall is a Chinese corporation that owns the Wey
brand, among many others.
The renowned German tuner has designed an
aggressive-looking body kit for the car, with some components made of carbon
fiber. It also fitted the VV7 GT Pro with unique 22-inch wheels.
Technically, the newcomer is a plug-in hybrid
vehicle. It comes powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine
rated at 227 hp and an unspecified electric motor. A seven-speed
robotic transmission delivers the power to the wheels. The SUV goes 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has around 70 kilometers of
all-electric range.
Wey intends to start conquering the automotive
market of Europe in 2021, launching two all-new cars there.
