Chrysler has released a new, Red S Edition package
for the 2020 Pacifica that builds on the popular S Appearance variant and adds
some custom parts. Priced at US$ 3,995, it is available on both Pacifica Limited gas and
hybrid models and is all about the interior, which features Rodèo Red premium
Nappa leather two-tone seats accented by Light Diesel Grey stitching and
piping. The seats also feature an “S” logo on the seat backs, with Silver Metal
Brush hydro bezels featured on the instrument panel and door trim.
While the interior is as lively as it gets, the
exterior has been given a much subtler treatment, with a Red S liftgate badge,
Black Noise Chrysler wing badges with Velvet Red inserts, and 20-inch wheels (18-inch
ones on the Hybrid) with a Black Noise finish.
The 2020 Pacifica Red S Edition is available in six
exterior colors, including the new-for-2020 Ceramic Grey Clear Coat, as well as
Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat, Billet
Metallic Clear Coat, Bright White Clear Coat and Maximum Steel Clear Coat.
Rounding out the package are the Advanced SafetyTec suite of safety and
security features, a 20-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio and KeySense.
Besides the Red S Edition, the 2020 Pacifica lineup
gains minor styling and equipment updates. Hybrid models now come standard with
a honeycomb grille pattern, with new available interior design elements
including Nova Black bezels on the instrument panel and door trim, while petrol
models now offer the option of a dual-pane panoramic sunroof available with
eight-passenger seating for the first time, and the Touring L and Touring L
Plus trim levels add standard driver seat memory. Moreover, the Hybrid Touring
introduces a standard universal garage door opener, second-row sunshades and an
available Stow ‘n Place roof rack, while the Hybrid Limited now features
second-row, one-touch windows.
Finally, the S Appearance model remains available
for the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica and 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid for a MSRP of US$ 795. According to Chrysler, one in three Pacifica owners chooses this option,
which brings black accents inside and out.
