Bajaj Auto has
commenced bookings of the India-made ABS version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in
Nepal. The company retails its motorcycles in Nepal in collaboration with
Golchha Organisation under the trade name HH Bajaj. Deliveries of the Bajaj
Pulsar NS200 will begin after 8 October 2019.
The non-ABS version
of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 was retailed at NPR 3,19,900 (INR 2 lakh) and the new ABS
version carries a sticker price of NPR 3,34,900 (INR 2.09 lakh). In India, the
Bajaj Pulsar NS200 costs INR 1.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
At the heart of the
Pulsar NS200 ABS is the same 199.5 cc liquid-cooled, triple spark, 4-valve
mill. Coupled to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine produces 23.52 PS of power and
18.3 Nm of torque. HH Bajaj has officially confirmed that the Bajaj Pulsar
NS200 ABS is a carburetted model, just like the Indian-spec bike. A
fuel-injected version of the Pulsar NS200 is expected to be launched in India
later this year.
Suspension duties
of the Pulsar NS200 ABS are taken care of by 37 mm conventional telescopic fork
up front and a monoshock with adjustable preload at the rear. Besides that, the
ABS version of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 gets a bigger 300 mm front disc (up by 20
mm). However, the rear disc continues to be a 230 mm unit. ABS is a single
channel unit. The bike has a healthy ground clearance of 167 mm and a 12-litre
fuel tank.
In Nepal, the Bajaj
Pulsar NS200 ABS competes with the Hero Xtreme 200R and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
which retail at NPR 2.96 lakh and NPR 3.25 lakh respectively.
