The tuner team over
at Manhart has persuaded the BMW X3 M Competition to draw 20% more power from
its twin-turbo, six-cylinder engine. In its factory guise, the engine has 510
hp and 600 Nm of torque. Once tweaked, it ascends to
630 hp and 785 Nm.
The complete kit is
called MHX3 600 and also includes original 21-inch wheels, an exhaust system
with ceramic finishers 100 mm wide, golden accents adorning the hood
covers, bumpers and doors, and H&R springs that bring it 30 mm closer to the road.
The vanilla X3 M
Competition makes the standard 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.1 seconds.
Manhart does not reveal how faster its version goes, but we would imagine it to
be well under four seconds.
The tuner promises
to make all the pricing public as soon as it launches a similar package for the
X4 M Competition.
