Ford’s onslaught of
SEMA continues as the company has revealed plans to introduce an assortment of
Explorers, Escapes and Expeditions. Starting with the smallest model, the 2020
Escape will have a big presence at the show as it’s the company’s latest
crossover. As a result, the automaker will be unveiling three different takes
on the vehicle.
LGE-CTS Motorsports
Urban Escape
The first is from
LGE-CTS Motorsports and it’s called the Urban Escape. It features a sporty
appearance as the model has been equipped with lowering springs and 20-inch
wheels. The crossover also has a roof rack, a cat-back exhaust and a Power
Commander throttle control system. Other highlights include a custom leather
interior and an assortment of accessories from Scosche.
Air Design USA
Escape Sport Hybrid
Moving on, the Air
Design Escape has a two-tone paint job and 20-inch Forgiato wheels wrapped in
Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires. The company also installed black fender flares,
door moldings and silver skid plates.
Interior changes
are minor, but include a portable refrigerator and an assortment of Ford
accessories. Among them are a cargo organizer and a cargo mat.
MAD Industries
Escape
Lastly, MAD
Industries created an Escape that’s ideal for cycling. As part of this effort,
the model was equipped with a roof rack and a Yakima bike carrier.
The modifications
don’t end there as the Escape features a custom paint job, lowering springs and
21-inch Rotiform OZR wheels. Other highlights include custom matte gray
interior trim, a Miko ultra-suede headliner and a Rockford Fosgate audio
system.
Blood Type Racing
Explorer Limited Hybrid
Moving onto the
Explorer side of things, Blood Type Racing created an eco-friendly off-roader.
It has been equipped with a Ford Performance skid plate, a suspension leveling
kit and 20-inch wheels shod in Toyo Open Country A/T II tires.
Other highlights
include a cat-back exhaust, black chrome trim and a Yakima carrier equipped
with two custom BTR Edition snowboards. The model also has a rear seat
entertainment system by Voxx.
CGS Performance
Products Explorer ST
The Explorer ST is
already pretty impressive, but CGS Performance decided to kick things up a
notch. Their Explorer has a cat-back exhaust and 24-inch Savini wheels wrapped
in Pirelli P-Zero rubber. The crossover also sports a custom paint job, red
accents and a bespoke interior by Alea Leather.
Prefix Explorer
The final Explorer
is from Prefix and it’s billed as the “king of racetrack support vehicles.” It
has been equipped with an emergency siren and signaling system as well as a
recovery and first-aid kit. Other modifications include a Ford Performance skid
plate, a lowered suspension and 20-inch wheels. Last but not least, the model
has Recaro Cross Sportster ORV race seats.
Good Boy Daisy
LifeStyle Expedition Limited MAX
One of the more
interesting vehicles is the Expedition MAX from Good Boy Daisy LifeStyle. It
has been equipped with a Whipple EcoBoost Stage 1 induction kit, a Borla exhaust
and a custom paint job. Elsewhere, there are 24-inch Forgiato wheels and Rigid
lights. Other updates include a Nappa leather interior with Zoom Q8 cameras and
Sennheiser mics.
