On September 25th, Chery launched the Jetour X90
1.6T model. The new car launched a total of 4 trims. The price range is
109,900-140,900 yuan (US$ 15,429 – US$ 19,781). The car is positioned as a
mid-size SUV and is available in 5/6/7 seat layout. It is equipped with a 1.6T
turbocharged in-cylinder direct injection engine codenamed F4J16, with maximum
power of 197 PS.
The Jetour brand is an all-new brand of Chery Auto.
It was officially released in January 2018. The first model is Jetour X70,
which is positioned as a five-seat mid-sized SUV. The Jetour X90 is the third
model of the brand. It was officially launched in January 2019, it was powered
by 1.5T engine. The new car is larger than the X70.
In terms of appearance, Jetour X90 maintains the
design of the current model, the interior of the grille is filled with three
thick horizontal strips, and connected with the polygonal headlights on both
sides. On the side, the side of the body is rich in lines, the side window
frame and black surround are embedded with chrome trim, which is more refined
with the silver roof rack.
For the interior, the new car also retains the
design of the current model, visual effects is fashionable, the 9-inch central
control display and the 12.3-inch LCD instrument are standard for all trims,
and the high-trim models are also equipped with front side airbags, front/rear
head air curtains, panoramic sunroof, main driving 6-way/co-pilot 4-way
electric adjustable leather seats, GPS navigation, car networking, electric
heating for the mirrors, and independent air conditioners in the rear.
In terms of power, it is powered by Chery’s 3rd-gen
ACTECO 1.6T eigne, max power is 197 PS, peak torque is 290 Nm, matching the 7DCT
gearbox. Jetour X90 features 5/6/7 seat layouts, of which 6 seats are 2+2+2,
the seat layout of the 7-seat model is 2+3+2.
