Porsche’s U.S. configurator has been updated to
include the current base Taycan 4S that was unveiled earlier this week. Arriving just a couple of weeks
after the Taycan premiered in Turbo and Turbo S guise, the 4S is much cheaper,
although at US$ 103,800 in base form (at least until Porsche further expands the
range), it’s not exactly what you could call affordable. The configurator also
reveals that if you get a little overzealous with the options, the price of the
4S can almost double and get close to the US$ 200,000 mark.
There are two paint options offered as standard,
Black and White. Should customers want something a little more eye-catching,
they can dip into the range of metallic colors that include Mamba Green
Metallic, Frozen Blue Metallic and Gentian Blue Metallic, all of which cost US$ 800 each. A shade dubbed Carmine Red (pictured) is also available for a cool US$ 3,150. As for the wheels, there are six options available, the most expensive
of which are 21-inchers with carbon fiber aeroblades that are priced at US$ 8,770.
Then we come to the interior. A host of different
color combinations are available finished in real leather or vegan leather.
Among the interior options include 18-way adjustable seats with memory
functions, the US$ 6,430 Performance Package, US$ 7,170 Premium Package, US$ 5,660
SportDesign Package, and more. The configurator is so comprehensive that you
could spend hours on end speccing out your dream Taycan 4S.
As standard, the Taycan 4S is offered with a 79.2
kWh battery pack that’s good for 405 km of driving range. A
Performance Battery Plus model is available with a 93.4 kWh battery that
improves the range to 462 km.
