The 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is an iconic muscle car and Ringbrothers has used one as the basis for their latest build. Named UNKL, the one-off model has a widened body which is one inch (25 mm) longer on each side. This is a subtle change, but Ringbrothers says it gives the car a more aggressive stance without compromising the classic looks.

Besides being wider, the car has been outfitted with modified bumpers, billet components and a front splitter. The model also features a custom paint job and a “mixture of carbon fiber and steel panels” that have been carefully reshaped. Last but not least, there are 19- and 20-inch HRE wheels that are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

The unique styling continues in the cabin as the car has a custom interior with Recaro seats, a Momo steering wheel and Classic Instruments gauges. Drivers will also find billet switchgear and an infotainment system.

Under the hood, there’s a massive 8.5-liter V8 engine from Jon Kaase Boss. It’s naturally aspirated and produces 700 hp.

The engine is connected to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels via a carbon fiber driveshaft. Other highlights include a Flowmaster stainless steel exhaust and an Aluma-Frame front suspension from Detroit Speed Engineering. The model also has a QUADRALink rear suspension with RideTech shocks as well as special front and rear sway bars.
