As Tata Motors continues testing the 2020 Nexon on
the public roads, one of its test mules has been spied once again. One of the
spy shots captured during the latest sighting gives a look at also the new
squarish outer-ends of the facelifted model's front bumper.
With the facelift, the Tata Nexon will receive a
bolder and more dominant front-end design. The headlamps now look sharper and
more angular, and pack projector lens and LED DRLs. Moreover, its upper and
lower grille now sport an edgier look which can also be seen on the front
bumper. The above spy shot also reveals the silver-finished C-shaped fog lamp
housing on the bumper. No changes can be seen on the sides or the rear-end.
Inside, the 2020 Tata Nexon (facelift) will sport a
brand new steering wheel and also cruise control function, as spied in previous
images. Also new will be the use of rain-sensing wipers. It will source its
power from a BS-VI compatible 1.2L Revotron petrol and 1.5L Revotorq diesel
units. Also, the company has already started road-testing a pure electric
variant of the Nexon which was teased in the series of videos posted over the
company's social media handles. It was seen getting tested in the challenging
terrain around Manali and Leh stretch. It will make its first official debut in
early 2020.
The facelifted Tata Nexon will rival the likes of
the Hyundai Venue, facelifted Maruti Vitara Brezza and the Mahindra XUV300. It
is expected to be costlier by around INR 50,000. Currently, it retails at INR
6.58 lakh* to INR 9.59 lakh* range.
