Audi has announced the pricing details
of the new 2020 A6 Allroad for the US market, marking the return of the rugged
German wagon to this side of the Atlantic. The 2020 Audi A6 Allroad will be
available in two trim options -Premium Plus and Prestige-, with prices kicking
off at US$ 65,900, not including a US$ 995 destination charge.
Customers will be also offered a
special 20th Anniversary Edition package that pays homage to the model’s
history with special design cues from the original Allroad, including an
exclusive Gavial Green exterior paint option over Sarder brown Valcona leather
with Nappa accents.
All Audi A6 Allroad models will come
with air suspension fitted as standard and six driving modes that cover nearly
every driving situation. Other chassis enhancements include an all-wheel
steering for better agility and handling, as well as hill descent control.
The rugged looks come courtesy of its
model-specific wheel arches and rocker panels finished in gray to contrast the
body paint, an Allroad-specific front grille with chrome vertical slats,
20-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, underbody protection and a rear diffuser
among other.
The cabin of the 2020 Audi A6 Allroad
features dark brown walnut inlays, a four-zone climate control, as well as
heated front seats and steering wheel, the MMI Touch Response dual-display
setup for the infotainment and HVAC controls and a Bang & Olufsen 3D
Premium Audio system, among other.
Power is provided by Audi’s
turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 TFSI engine, which makes 335 HP and 369 lb-ft of
torque and features mild-hybrid technology. It’s bolted to a seven-speed
dual-clutch S Tronic transmission and the company’s signature Quattro all-wheel
drive system. Audi claims a 0-96 km/h in 5.1 seconds.
Things like auto emergency braking and
a 360-degree camera are part of the standard equipment list, but if you want
features like Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Jam Assist or traffic sign
recognition, you must tick the right boxes on the options list.
