When Ford announced that the Transit
van would be getting AWD in its 2020 version, the news made many campervan
lovers happy. Now, Missouri-based tuner VanDOit unveils what seems to be the
world’s first mobile home based on this model.
It can accommodate up to eight
passengers and houses a wide queen’s bed on hydraulic lifts, a folding bed for
two (you may order a two-tier variant for four people), a fully featured
kitchenette, and plenty of storage space.
Further amenities include water
heating, central heating, a toilet, and a shower cabin you can use either
inside or outside the car. One final distinguishing feature of VanDOit’s 2020
Ford Transit comes in the form of special rails that much of the equipment is
mounted on. In a few dozen minutes, you can turn the campervan into a regular
commercial/cargo van – and vice versa.
