The Shelby Super Snake isn’t a wallflower, but that hasn’t stopped the company from introducing an all-new Bold package for 2020. Designed to draw attention, the Bold models are available exclusively in three of the “most prolific colors” offered on 1970 Shelby cars. They include shadow black with green stripes, green lime with black stripes and twister orange with black stripes. The vehicles also come equipped with black wheels and green or orange interior accents.

Besides the special colors, there isn’t much to report as the models are simply dressed up Super Snakes. As a result, they feature an aggressive body kit that includes a revised front fascia, a Shelby-branded grille and a ram air hood. The cars also have a front splitter, a rear spoiler and a diffuser.

Interior upgrades are modest, but include special upholstery and revised gauges. Buyers will also find door sill plates and unique floor mats. Of course, the Super Snake is all about performance and it comes with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 710 hp. Customers seeking even more power can get an optional supercharger that enables the engine to produce 825 hp.

Besides the supercharged engine, the Super Snake has an upgraded cooling system, performance half shafts and a short throw shifter. Other highlights include a Brembo braking system, a Ford Performance track handling package and a Ford Performance exhaust.

The bolder Shelby Super Snake will debut at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona next month and be offered as a coupe or a convertible. Customers will also have a choice of a 10-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.

Only 30 units will be made for the United States, but a “limited number will be built by select Shelby mod shops and distributors internationally.”
