Lorsiner has just unveiled a series of
modifications for the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan to give the vehicle some
added grunt and a more striking appearance. Starting with the popular
Mercedes-Benz A250 model, Lorinser has worked its magic on the 2.0-liter
turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine so it now delivers 262 hp and 415 Nm, as opposed to the 224 hp and 350 Nm of the standard
car.
One step down from the A 250 in the
A-Class family takes you to the A 220, also fitted with a 2.0-liter
turbocharged four-cylinder that ordinarily pumps out 188 hp and 350
Nm. With the Lorinser tune, it now delivers 231 hp and 419 Nm of
torque. Also tweaked is the Mercedes-Benz A 200 Sedan, whose output has been
lifted from 163 hp and 250 Nm of torque to a beefier 189 hp and 300 Nm of torque.
Last but not least is the A 180d that
uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel four-cylinder that gets upgraded to 131 hp
and 294 Nm of torque compared to the stock item’s 116 hp and 260 Nm.
To set its tuned Merc apart visually,
Lorinser has designed and engineered a bespoke front splitter that adds some
aggression to the car’s fascia and costs € 820 (US$ 911), as well as front aero
flaps that are priced at € 642 (US$ 713.) Rounding out the modifications are
19-inch wheels, a new rear diffuser, and AMG-style quad tailpipes.
