The second generation BMW X4 is not
the prettiest coupe SUV out there, yet certain tuners think they can make it
more appealing. Hamann is one of them and their proposal includes a few visual
updates on the outside that make it “a real eye-catcher”, in the tuner’s own
words.
We will let you be the judge of that,
after first going through the changes. For starters, the German tuner has added
a new front apron, wheel arch covers and rear diffuser. The package also
includes a lowering spring set, four aftermarket tailpipes and a new set of 22
inch wheels named the Anniversary Evo.
Now, Hamann is not accepting orders
for the latest parts aimed at the new X4 just yet, but will start soon enough.
Naturally, they should fit every version of the premium compact model,
including the top-of-the-line X4 M, which has the Jaguar F-Pace SVR and
Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 Coupe in its sight. The M-developed X4 does the 0-96 km/h in as little as 4.0 seconds, given that you go for the Competition
version, or 4.1 in the ‘regular’ variant.
The former enjoys 503 HP and 599 Nm of torque, whereas the latter has to
make do with only 473 hp and an identical torque level. Top
speed climbs from 250-284 km/h with the optional M Driver’s
Package and the two grades come with an eight-speed transmission and
rear-biased all-wheel drive system, for a lively back end befitting a BMW.
