Aftermarket specialist Bisimoto has
just unveiled a wild Porsche 935 powered exclusively by electricity. Bisimoto
has created some crazy cars in recent years, including a twin-turbocharged
Porsche Boxster with a central driving position. For this latest project, the
man behind the company, Bisi Ezerioha, took a classic Porsche 911 and fitted it
with the same body panels mimicing the original Le Mans-winning 935 race car.
Thus, this isn’t an actual Porsche 935, though it sure looks the part.
Powering Bisimoto’s electric Porsche
is a three-phase electric motor that receives juice from small battery packs
located at the front and rear with a combined capacity of 32 kWh. Bisi claims
that car produces 636 hp – a huge amount of power, especially when you consider
that the car weighs very little. The result is a car that perfectly combines
the sleek and timeless design of the original Porsche 935 with some of the
latest and most innovative electric powertrain technology.
One aspect of the car that we really
love is the livery. This design comes from the mind of Andy Blackmore Designs
and combines bright pink accents with grey paint. There are also a set of
Brixton Forged wheels that beautifully suit the rest of the car’s design.
Bisimoto has created some wild
creations in recent years. In addition to the company’s center-drive Porsche
Boxster, it created a 1029 hp Honda Odyssey a few years ago, while earlier this
year, Jay Leno jumped into the driver’s seat of a 1976 Porsche 911 from the
engineering firm.
