Nissan will bring a dozen exciting exhibits at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon next month (January 10-12), with two interesting Skyline-based concepts serving as the main course.

The first of them is called Skyline 400R Sprint and it embodies a sporty interpretation of the sedan that’s sold as Infiniti Q50 outside Japan. The study features an aggressive body kit including new bumpers, a fixed rear wing, sharp side skirts, and a vented hood.

Adding to the racing-inspired appearance are the 20-inch black forged wheels shod with performance tires that have green sidewalls matching the green body accents. The body is sprayed with white silver paint and features contrasting matte black elements including the engine hood, roof, and aerodynamic parts.

There’s no information regarding performance but Nissan promises an “overwhelming engine output and the driving potential pursued to the limit.” Given that the car is called Skyline 400R Sprint, we’d be willing to bet it features the same 400 horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine from the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport.

The second concept is called Skyline Deluxe Advanced and it explores the sedan’s luxurious side. The study features a stylish two-tone paint scheme combining matte brown and matte silver, as well as new alloy wheels finished in the same colors. Inside, Nissan says the Skyline Deluxe Advanced comes equipped with high-quality two-tone leather seats.

There are no additional details but the front fender badge reveals the fact that it packs a hybrid powertrain. Compared to the Skyline 400R Sprint, this one appears to have more chances of going into production.

The rest of Nissan’s lineup for the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon is very eclectic and includes city cars, minivans, sports cars and supercars. Performance car enthusiasts will be able to see the limited-edition Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign in production guise, Nissan GT-R Nismo, as well as the 50th Anniversary editions of the Nissan GT-R and Fairlady Z.

There will also be two electrified Nismo models at the show: the Leaf Nismo and Note e-Power Nismo S Black Limited. Also on display will be the Nissan Elgrand Autech, Serena e-Power Autech Multi Bed and NV350 Caravan Premium GX Urban Chrome concepts.
