Dongfeng-Nissan Venucia released a brand-new SUV model, officially named: Xing (“星Chinese means “star”), positioning a new compact SUV, similar to the previously released Venucia T90 model, which uses a V-Galaxy star grille design and has a high degree of recognition. Venucia Xing will be powered by a 1.5T turbocharged engine with maximum power of 140kW. At the same time, this car will be also the first model equipped with a 48V light-hybrid system under Venucia brand.

It is worth noting that Venucia Xing has adopted a new naming system and its badge has also changed. In addition, unlike the previous products, Venucia Xing is not built by using Nissan’s platform and technology, but based on the new VSA architecture owned by Venucia itself, and the power is also derived from Shenyang Aerospace Mitsubishi’s 1.5T engine, it is neither Nissan’s powertrain.


The VSA covers three major platforms: VSA-L (medium and large platform), VSA-C (compact platform), and VSA-E (electric vehicle platform). At the same time, the new car adopts a new “hybrid aesthetics” design concept, the whole car design is indeed much more beautiful than the previous Venucia model.

In terms of appearance, the front face of Venucia Xing features a V-Galaxy star grille, which is also the new family language design guidance. The headlight and grille are highly integrated. The new design is more recognizable than the previous models of Venucia. At the rear of the car, the new car adopts a bar-style taillight design, it is a rounded rear with a three-dimensional visual sense.


From the size point of view, the new car body length, width, height are 4691 mm / 1905 mm / 1706 mm, the wheelbase is 2756 mm, which is larger than the current Venucia T70. The new wheel hubs are available in 17-inch, 18-inch, and 19-inch sizes, and will match different wheel sizes based on the model’s height configuration. It is reported that in addition to different sizes of tires / wheels, the new car also offers monochromatic and dual-color body color options.

In the power section, Venucia Xing will be powered with a 1.5T turbocharged engine model A415TD with a maximum power of 187 hp and an official fuel consumption of 6.1L per 100 kilometers.
