JAC has released the Jiayue A5 compact sedan, the vehicle is a
model produced jointly by JAC and Volkswagen, the Italian designer is
responsible for the exterior and interior design. Now during the 2019 Guangzhou
Auto Show, JAC brings the pure electric version of the Jiayue A5. The new car
draws on the design elements of the Jiayue A5 fuel version, it has made
optimization changes for pure electric models. Let ’s take a look at this new

In
terms of appearance, JAC Jiayue A5 EV is very similar to the fuel version, the
front face adopts a closed design. It is not as flamboyant as the fuel version.
At the same time, the color of the body is also cooler.
If
you are impressed with JAC Jiayue A5 fuel version, you will definitely be
deeply impressed by its hexagonal straight waterfall grille. The pure electric
model this time did not inherit the fierce style, as to which is better design
is a matter of opinion. Except
for the grille, other elements of the front face of the pure electric model are
almost the same as the fuel version. The front face has rich and layered lines,
the curves extending from both ends to the side of the car visually stretch the
width of the front of the car, making the car appear wider.
The
headlights adopt a rising design, covering a large area, and the overall shape

1514 mm and a wheelbase of 2760 mm.
The
sidelines of the car are smooth, the upper and lower waist lines are tilted

is also a highlight of the new car, giving the vehicle a little more sense of
luxury.
The
D-pillar of the vehicle is very stout, it is also equipped with bright color
trim, which looks more upscale. The vehicle uses a slip-back design to enhance
the sporty feel of the vehicle, and the rear of the vehicle uses the popular bar-type
taillights to improve the vehicle’s recognition. The
charging interface is set at the front grille position, the fuel intake grille
position is changed to the charging port cover. The vehicle can be charged from
30% to 80% in 40 minutes under fast charging.
Compared
with the fuel version, the overall interior style of JAC Jiayue A5 pure
electric version has not changed much. However, in terms of color matching,
shallow elements are introduced, and the texture of the covering material is
more prominent, which has improved the technological sense of the vehicle to a
certain extent. At the same time, some adjustments have been made to the
details, which is more in line with the driving habits of electric vehicles. The interior of the new car follows the
T-shaped layout of its fuel version, the intuitive feel is very neat and the
design style is more acceptable to the public.
In
the power section, the new car is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous
motor with a maximum power of 204 PS and a peak torque of 340 Nm. The
official claim is that the acceleration time of 0-100 km/h is 7.9 seconds. The new car’s power battery capacity is
64kWh, NEDC has a range of 550 km, and it excels in its class.
