VW is expanding the range of the Touareg in the UK with the addition of three new trim levels, including a new base SE model that drops the starting price of the luxury SUV down to £ 45,445. The new base VW Touareg SE is positioned underneath the SEL trim – which is priced from £ 49,645- in the range and features 19-inch Osomo alloy wheels, a 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system, parking sensors all around and adaptive cruise control as standard. Customers can choose the SE trim with the 3.0-liter V6 TDI in both outputs (231 PS and 286 PS).

The other new addition to the range is the mid-level SEL Tech trim, which builds upon the existing SEL. The new SEL Tech offers the impressive Innovision Cockpit system that includes both the huge 15-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment and HVAC controls and the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as an electrically operated tailgate.

The new Touareg SEL Tech starts from £ 50,995 and is available with both diesel engines, as well as the 340 PS 3.0-liter V6 TFSI petrol. Given that the Innovision Cockpit system is a £ 3,500 option on the SE and SEL models, the new SEL Tech poses as a great deal to prospective customers.

The final addition to the Touareg range is the new range-topping Black Edition. This version builds upon the R-Line Tech trim, adding black 21-inch Suzuka alloy wheels together with a range of black detailing on the exterior including the radiator grille, roof rails, mirror housings, side window trims and air intake fins.

The equipment of the Black Edition includes a panoramic sunroof, IQ Light Matrix headlights, air suspension and the Park Assist package with Area View. Prices start from £ 58,745 with the base 231 PS 3.0-liter V6 TDI.
