The South Korean carmaker never announced
it on official terms, but the latest spy shots show a test car in the traffic
with an N-Line badge on the side.
Compared to the current Elantra (shown in
the video here), the new generation will be 35 millimeters longer
with a slightly larger wheelbase. It will get redesigned headlights and wheels
and ship with a wider range of engines.
Specifically, while the current-gen
Hyundai Elantra only comes equipped with its 1.6-liter gasoline mill, the new
one will be available in 1.2 Turbo GDi and 1.6 CVVD Turbo GDi variants. The
company also hinted that a hybrid powertrain was in the works for the model.
