Volkswagen is launching the new Arteon
R-Line Edition in the UK, which will be available in just 370 examples and is
marketed as the new flagship trim. Prices for the new VW Arteon R-Line Edition
kick off at £ 36,850 for the 2.0 TSI 190 PS petrol version and from £ 42,120 for
the 2.0 TSI 272 PS 4MOTION model. The German carmaker also offers the diesel
2.0 TDI with either 190 PS or 240 PS and the option of all-wheel drive – or
4Motion in VW speak.
The new VW Arteon R-Line Edition
represents a great value too, as it comes with plenty of features as standard
over the R-Line model. VW says that the additional equipment of the R-Line
Edition would cost £4,755 if specified individually to an R-Line model, but the
actual premium of the new limited edition is just £ 845.
Those features include everything from
Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC), keyless entry, the top-down camera system Area
View, Side Assist Plus with rear traffic alert and Park Assist, 20-inch
‘Rosario Black’ alloy wheels, the exclusive Moonstone Grey color finish with
contrasting black roof and door mirror housings and more.
The generous equipment list comes on top
of the standard features every Arteon R-Line enjoys, including the Active Info
Display digital instrument cluster, a 9.2-inch Discover Navigation Pro
infotainment system, the R-Line styling pack and Nappa leather upholstery.
The Arteon R-Line also benefits from LED
headlights with dynamic light assist and predictive cornering lights as well.
VW will offer the new Arteon R-Line Edition in just 1,000 examples globally,
with the first UK deliveries set to take place in early March.
